About Sayaka:

Sayaka Ganz was born in Yokohama, Japan in 1976.Growing up living in several different countries, she has an international background with a strong Japanese influence. She has always been fascinated with animals and their physical movement. This fascination continues to drive her to create artwork.

Sayaka received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking at Indiana University Bloomington. While at IU she explored various media including ceramics and printmaking, This eventually led her to sculpture and she found welding to be the process she had been searching for.

Currently Sayaka teaches drawing and design at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). She continues to create welded steel animals as well as human figures.

Aren’t these special! If you’re like me, you detest bookmarks, and prefer to use bits of receipts or other unobtrusive scraps. These little grass post-its seem like a fun idea, though — if you don’t have any grass around. Otherwise, yes, it seems more economical to use that. [via BoingBoing]
